❖ AZULEJO PATIO
Good things come together.

A TABLE FOR TWO

A little color.
A clever plan.

Gather tiles, fill your pattern lines, and bring your courtyard to life.

Your turnRound 1

THE CENTER

First take: collect the starting-player marker

Choose a color from a factory, then choose one of your pattern lines.

THE LAST ROUND

When every tile is drafted, completed pattern lines move one tile each to your wall. Adjacency earns points.

A SMALL STRATEGY

Finish short lines early. Save space for later colors. The center can be tempting — and expensive.

Wall bonuses: completed row +2 · column +7 · all five of a color +10.

THE COURTYARD IS COMPLETE

A colorful finish.

WELCOME TO THE PATIO

Draft. Arrange. Score.

  1. Take all tiles of one color from one factory or from the center. The other tiles on that factory move to the center.
  2. Choose one pattern line. Its capacity is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. A partly filled line accepts only its existing color. A wall row cannot receive a color it already has. Overflow goes to your floor. You may also send the whole take to the floor.
  3. The first center take also collects the starting-player marker. It occupies a floor slot and you start the next round.
  4. When all tiles are taken, score the round. Each completed pattern line moves one tile to the matching colored position on its wall row. Its remaining tiles are discarded. Incomplete lines stay for the next round.
  5. Adjacent tiles score. A new tile by itself scores 1. A horizontal or vertical run scores its length; if it joins both, add both lengths, counting the new tile in each.
  6. Floor penalties: −1, −1, −2, −2, −2, −3, −3 for the first seven occupied slots, including the marker. Extra tiles go straight to discards. Scores never fall below zero.
  7. End the game after a round in which either wall has a complete horizontal row. Bonuses: +2 per complete row, +7 per complete column, +10 for all five tiles of a color. Higher score wins; ties use completed rows, then remain tied.

Your opponent uses only public information; it cannot inspect the bag order. Easy looks one move ahead, Steady looks up to three moves ahead within a small node budget. Undo reverses your last move and the opponent's replies. Suggestions highlight a source color and destination, and do not play automatically.

Click/tap controls work on every board. Keyboard: Tab to controls, Enter/Space to choose; 1–5 select pattern lines, F sends to floor, U undoes. Saves stay on this device.

CRAFT & SOURCE

Azulejo Patio

Uses the complete deterministic two-player rules engine and local search opponent from gcangussu/ladrilho, commit 3e50a466, under its MIT license. The interface and original GPT-generated ceramic tile artwork are new. This independent adaptation is not affiliated with the commercial Azul publisher or designer.

Full preferred-form application source is readable locally: engine.js, app.js, style.css, index.html. Source and build notes. The bundled engine is transpiled from the linked TypeScript, with no runtime dependencies.

Five ceramic tile patterns and the linen table texture were generated in one cohesive GPT image atlas, cropped and optimized as local WebP. All tiles in play use these images. No external assets, authentication, network gameplay or model calls.
